The perfect Overnight stop when Driving through France
Instead of settling for a random hotel near Calais or even worse, a hotel alongside the motorway, why not make an overnight stop part of the holiday and stay in our charming Bed and Breakfast.
A peaceful stopover in France
If you are driving from England to France it is likely you will need to break your journey with an overnight stop for a well-deserved rest.
In perfect English, Aga, your host, will be delighted to welcome you and look after you during your stopover where you will be able to enjoy a homemade dinner, a restful night in a peaceful environment and a traditional French breakfast before finally setting off.
A great location for an overnight stay
Just a stone throw from the A26 motorway, and 30 minutes from Reims, La Besace is ideally located if you are driving from Calais to the South of France and you decide to break your journey and stop for the night.
You will be able to escape from the stress of driving and may want to take the time to enjoy breakfast in the middle of our garden filled flowers before jumping behind the wheel.
Family friendly accommodations
Getting to the French cote d’Azur from Calais can take anything between nine to twelve hours,
And, Although perfectly feasible in one day, you will need to add another few hours to your journey if you are driving to the south of France from the UK.
With children sitting in the back of the car, your holiday may quickly turn into a nightmare after only a few hours. And that’s when a family stopover is recommended.
Although a hotel may seem more suitable, more often than not, you will struggle to find any suitable family accommodations in France for an overnight stop.
At La Besace we can accommodate families of up to 4 in the same room which has its own bathroom.
And if you are planning on staying with a baby we have everything you need to help smooth the journey
Dog friendly B&B
Dogs need a holiday too and we know how difficult it can be to find the right accommodation in France when you are travelling with your beloved pets.
We are a dog friendly B&B and small animals can be accepted, with prior agreement, and provided they are clean and discreet.
